A Celebration of Dance

Celebration of Dance is an ongoing series of figurative paintings devoted to the explorations of movement, dance, and the depiction of the movement of life through time. When I first began painting this series of work, I depicted real dancers in costume performing or rehearsing. As time passed, I found myself sitting in the corner and sketching when those around me broke into dance for the pure joy of it. The work has expanded to include the simple joys of life that make the heart sing!
