Landscapes surround me daily!

The visual stimulation of plays of light across the sky, changing weather patterns and landscapes filled with interesting shapes and forms excite my creative juices. The idea for a painting can evolve from the memory of what I have seen, a dream or  from what I observe in the environment as I sketch on site or focus on the compositional elements through my own photography. I extract the essence of the scene through the lens of my eye, as I paint, in the hope that those who view my work will discover a new visual perspective of the landscapes of life.
